CES 2020 Day 2 – LG Nanocell TVs, Samsung’s Rotating Sero TV, Intel Ghost Canyon NUC 9, and more
It's day 2 at CES 2020 and we've already seen so many new gadgets. From vertical TVs to a whole new smart home security approach by Netatmo, things seem to be rolling on the tech show floor this year. In fact, this year is more about releasing technology that is tangible and can be launched for mainstream use.
With the first day already gone, we’re now heading toward day 2 at CES 2020. Apart from the stunning product announcements, which include vertical TVs and more convertible laptops, CES is also about a lot of tech updates. From Intel trying to get into the graphics game with DG1 GPU to Samsung’s Project Neon, it’s a huge advancement toward futuristic tech in this year’s show. In fact, Hyundai’s flying taxi came as a surprise because of its stellar design.

Samsung Odyssey G9 Curved Gaming Monitor
Whether you’re playing a historical, science-fiction, or present-day game, this 49-inch monitor will immerse you. From the back, this curved display appears somewhat like a cyclops. Its sleek white exterior has a lit blue circle—the Infinity Core—in the center that has the look of an eyeball. That way, everyone around you knows you’re keeping an eye on them. Furthermore, the Odyssey G9 has a 1000R curved screen that allows it to match the contours of human eyes.
Dell Latitude 9510 5G Laptop
The Dell Latitude 9510 5G Laptop goes to show that a 2-in-1 doesn’t need to be heavy to be great. In fact, this super lightweight laptop has a 15-inch screen and also comes with built-in AI. This feature ensures the 2-in-1 laptop allows you to work faster. It’ll recognize which apps you use most often and open them when you start up the laptop. And because this new Dell computer is built for business work, it offers a long-lasting battery life of up to 30 hours.

Nanoleaf Learning Series Smart Lighting
This new series actually learns what your lighting preferences are so you don’t have to do as much work. Built with U-IQ sensors, this smart lighting collection includes three gadgets. There’s a Learning Button, a Learning Light Bulb, and a Learning Switch. Each of these devices works together so the Nanoleaf lights create just the atmosphere you’re accustomed to. While they respond to Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant, they don’t require you to give them any commands.
Segway-Ninebot Air T15 Electric Kick Scooter
This new electric scooter is lightweight for easy navigability. In fact, this Segway kick scooter weighs just 22 pounds, making it a breeze to carry up and down flights of stairs in your apartment or office building. Furthermore, the Segway Air T15 can take you to a top speed of 12.4 miles per hour. You’ll feel like you’re flying as you pass by all the pedestrians on the sidewalk. Additionally, this electric kick scooter gets its power from an efficient 300-watt hub motor.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga Laptops (2020 Version)
Similar to the previous models, these laptops also feature Intel’s latest 10th-generation “Ice Lake” processors and up to 16GB of RAM. However, the new models do come with the capacity of having up to 2TB of internal storage. Additionally, the laptops have function keys that can help you start and end a voice-over-IP call quickly. But the biggest update of these series is the new 500-nit, 1080p display which comes with the PrivacyGuard technology.
Samsung 4D-Flex BESPOKE Customizable Refrigerator
The BESPOKE refrigerator has a modular design that you can update as your needs change. Add an entire full-height fridge if your family grows and you need more storage space. Or add several smaller compartments if you want more organized storage. Additionally, with the Flex Zone, this fridge lets you alternate some areas from refrigerators to freezers. If you’re hosting a big party or freezing the extra fruits and veggies you grew, you’ll find this spot useful.
Samsung Sero TV
Launched earlier in Korea, Samsung is finally bringing its Samsung Sero TV for the global market. This TV is unique because it can rotate vertically for your social media content from Instagram or TikTok. The clever rotating design of this 43-inch 4K TV makes it super easy for you to blend your social media content with your TV. Additionally, the Sero also includes an integrated, non-removable stand with a 4.1-channel, 60-watt speaker system inside.
Intel Ghost Canyon NUC 9 Extreme Kit
This miniature PC lets you change just about everything, including the memory, storage, GPU, and CPU. And, unlike with some other computers, it’s easy to do so with this Intel NUC kit. Furthermore, you can even make the ports fit your needs with the Ghost Canyon NUC. And because the NUC 9 Extreme Kit has a volume of five liters, it’s impressively compact. You’ll be able to add it to your home computer setup with no problem.
Pollen Robotics Reachy Open-Source Interactive Robot
If you’re looking for a robot that can act out your specific needs, check out the Pollen Robotics Reachy Open-Source Interactive Robot. This modular robot is fully customizable and capable of performing food service, customer service, R&D, and demonstration tasks. While it has a hefty price tag, its myriad of capabilities are worth it for people who can afford it. Furthermore, it comes with built-in AI, and it can be easily programmed in Python. And Reachy even comes with ready-to-use environments for doing things like laying out objects, serving coffee, playing tic-tac-toe, and more.
Oral-B iO AI Toothbrush
This new toothbrush uses 3D and AI technology to coach you on how to brush your teeth even better. It’s powered by a smooth magnetic drive system, and it has a smart pressure sensor. This sensor tells you if you’re brushing too hard, and it lets you know if you’re brushing just right so your gums stay protected. You’ll receive personalized brushing encouragement delivered on the interactive display, and it even counts up to the recommended two minutes for you.
Samsung Galaxy Book Alpha Flex Laptop
This laptop features a QLED screen, runs in full HD, and comes in hundreds of dollars below its counterparts. And while this laptop won’t have as powerful a battery or be as light, Samsung didn’t sacrifice quality to give you a more affordable option. But thanks to the energy-saving benefits of the QLED screen, you’ll still have a great battery life. And with the Outdoor Mode, you’ll have 600 nits of brightness.
HP Spectre X360 15 Convertible Laptop
With this update, the 15-inch laptop has bezels that are a bit slimmer than they were before. Going the way of many devices, this computer may eventually eliminate bezels altogether. For now, this reduction in bezel size allows the computer to be 13% smaller than it was previously. However, it still maintains the sleek lines for a similar shape along with cut-out corners. Furthermore, this new HP laptop has a smaller infrared webcam, which still comes with the kill switch.
