LapPad Mobile Workstation – Luxury Wood Lap Desk Touches for a Better Work Experience
Just about everybody owns a laptop. The single biggest annoyance of using a laptop is when you actually use your laptop on the top of your lap; it will eventually become too warm. And, if you’re like me and edit videos on the couch, it jumps from being slightly warm to downright scorching. It’s not a comfortable experience so I fly through my work just so I can move on. Then, I went looking for a lap desk. Most are strange and cheap looking and the ones that do look good end up having legs which I have no interest in. How about a nice middle ground of a nice looking lap desk with no legs? Introducing the LapPad and its smaller cousin, the LapPad GO. I’ll never use a different lap desk again. It combines
– luxury wood material
– tremendous style
– and excellent heat dispersion
The Ultimate Lap Desk
The LapPad is a fresh new take on an old idea. By implementing some clever features well, the LapPad stands head and shoulders above all of its competitors.
First off, the LapPad is made from poplar wood and is sealed for waterproofness; the result is a very smooth surface and a solid, rigid frame. It supported my behemoth of a laptop with no issue whatsoever and, because of the center of gravity and the slight offset, there no problems with overbalancing or tipping over.

Second, the slits carved into the wood are functional in different ways. There are two slits towards the top of the LapPad which are meant for tablets and smartphones respectively. There are also holes in the bottom for routing charging cables; a very nice touch because now I’m not fumbling in my pocket for my phone unnecessarily. There are more slits are across the lower left three-quarters of the LapPad which function as heat vents. Oh, and there’s the carrying handle as well, yet another nice touch.
Finally, the mouse pad is a breeze to use and very high quality, especially compared to other lap desks. It’s not really meant for gaming purposes but, for everything else, it’s great.
Form And Function
The intelligent design lends itself to a better functioning product. The aforementioned rigid frame and solid wood make for a pain-free typing experience. In fact, I’m using the LapPad right now as I’m writing this review and my wife is using the LapPad Go for her laptop next to me. I’m never going back to not using a LapPad.
The handle on the LapPad makes wielding it quite simple; the LapPad Go doesn’t have a intentional handle but the holes for routing cables are small enough to hook your fingers through. LapPad makes life easy.
What We ❤️
The LapPad and LapPad Go are of the highest build quality and application to improve your laptop lap experience beyond anything you could imagine. It may seem silly to be so excited about a piece of wood but the LapPad has become a daily driver for me in my writing workflow.
Future Designs
It’d be nice to have some built in USB ports or something for more compatibility with gadgets beyond just being a stand. Maybe an 8000 mAh battery pack below the mouse pad.
Also, some new colors might be welcome, such as a darker brown or black wood version.
