Making it work is all about balance and motivation. Check out these tips and must-have gadgets for digital nomads.

How to be more productive and focused while working remotely

1. A planner is a must: Whether you do it digitally or manually, it’s imperative to keep a planner and an organized to do list. Use an app like Wunderlist, Evernote, or even the reminders app on your smartphone.

2. Take frequent breaks: Working remotely is about working at your own pace. As a result, it often involves a lot of focus on tasks for many hours on end. Strategically placed breaks will help you maintain optimal productivity.

3. Maintain proper posture: Go for a standing desk or at least a highly ergonomic chair. If you’re sitting there for 8+ hours a day, you need support. Remember not to slouch!

4. Change up the scenery: Try to work from a different workspace at least once a week. A great desk is essential, but sometimes it’s just good to take a break and work from a cafe or a park.

5. Make sure you have a window: Having a view of the outdoors around your workspace will keep your space fresh. An even better option is to make sure you take a walk for fresh air.

6. Have virtual coffee breaks: with your colleagues as this will help you feel less disconnected and lonely at work

7. Determine the end of your work day: This is our biggest tip. It’s very difficult to know when to close your laptop when you work from home. Pick a time and stick to it for less stress.
