The 20:17 MoonWalker Boots Let You Walk on the Moon in Style
There have been huge advancements in our footwear in the past few decades. Everything has been reconsidered from arch support to laces all to make each step as comfortable as can be. But, who cares about feeling like you’re walking on sunshine when you can walk on the moon? You read that correctly: the 20:17 MoonWalker boots are superbly futuristic and simulate what it’s like to walk on our lunar satellite.
An update from their 2016 predecessor, these boots combine sleek and futuristic functionality with urban design. Suffice to say, the 20:17 MoonWalker boots will make you feel out of this world.
What isn’t visible from the outside is the technology. No, the 20:17 MoonWalker boots aren’t wired in any way to make you float. Instead, the memory foam sole of each boot is packed with extra powerful magnets. A total of nine N45 neodymium magnet pairs have been set from toe to arch to heel on their negative sides. This special pairing pattern produces a repellent force, creating a layer of air between the magnets.

While this feature is certainly on a futuristic level, the rest of the 20:17 MoonWalker is designed for the 21st century. On the external side of the boot is a round padded leather app button complete with an e-ink display screen. Simply pair the boots with the app to share your latest social media updates right on the animated screen. The 20:17 MoonWalker also use DuPont Tyvek synthetic polyethylene which is used by NASA on space station modules.
With comfort at the heart of design, these boots feature a padded tongue with a super soft cotton liner, a back zipper for easily slipping them on and off, and an ergonomic design to effortlessly conform to your foot, ankle, and calf. The 20:17 MoonWalker boots are finished with leather accenting and neoprene available in four cosmic colors.
Live on Indiegogo, the 20:17 MoonWalker boots are well on their way to reaching the $40k goal. You have until July 7th to get the boots for only $69. With the chance to experience walking on the moon, what are you waiting for?
