There's always someone at the beach who has to outdo everyone else. Every year, they've purchased whatever the latest and greatest gadget is. This year, why don't you take the top prize for the best beach accessory?

Walk on water with this awesome beach toy
Walk on Water is the device that allows you to truly walk on water

Imagine if you could walk on water. You’d be the talk of the beach. Everyone would be standing around to watch you do your thing, and you’d be the coolest person there. Because, let’s be honest here, we all like to be the center of attention sometimes. This summer, get the beach toy that will have all eyes on you.

With the Walk on Water Buoyant Strider, you’ll be able to do just what the name says—walk on water. All you need to do is slide the devices on your feet and practice a few times, and you’ll experience something no one else can.

Impress everyone at the pool with your ability to walk on water

How this beach toy works

Each paddle has a special structure that allows you to float upright by strategically supporting your weight. When you get good enough at how to move, you can even run. Because why walk on water when you can run on water? Once you’ve perfected your balance, you’ll even be able to crouch down and take a bit of a rest.

The secret is a paddle inside that opens and closes when you lift your foot or press down. The process is similar to a duck’s feet paddling in the water.

Practice makes perfect to walk on water

If you’ve ever learned to ice skate, rollerskate, or snowboard, you know it’s a bit tricky in the beginning. Your feet have a tendency to go out from under you, and you feel like a potato every time you fall and someone sees you. But that’s okay. It’s all part of the process.

Once you’ve nailed your balance, you’ll even be able to sit

You’ll need to practice the same way with the Walk on Water. If you have a pool or know of a secluded beach, grab your buoyant strider and a friend and head out to practice. Just like with ice skating, keeping your balance won’t feel natural, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time at all. Just make sure someone is with you while you’re practicing.

This pool toy has health benefits

Exercise is an important component of living a healthy, long life. But not many of us really like to do it. Unless you live someplace where you have access to great hiking or bike trails, getting cardio in can feel like a chore. And no one likes to do chores.

You’ll want to show off your water walking skills at the beach

If you’ve been looking for a new way to exercise, you’ve found it. Why tether yourself to a treadmill or to an elliptical in the gym or in your basement when you can be on the water. Walk on Water will improve your balance, your core, your leg muscles, and will provide a great cardiovascular session. And it’s something you’ll have fun while doing, so it won’t feel like just another thing you have to get done.

Use safety precautions when using the buoyant strider

As with everything, be sure you’re being safe when you’re using this tool to walk on water. If you don’t know how to swim, be sure you’re wearing a life jacket. If you can, try to learn to walk in the device in a place where you won’t fall and hit your head on anything. If you must learn in a pool, be sure you have spotters or you cover the hard edges of the pool.

If you’re using the Walk on Water when it’s colder, be sure you’re protecting your body from the elements by wearing a diving suit or long waterproof socks. And don’t worry. If you fall, your feet will easily slide out of the device.

Specifications of the Walk on Water

The creators of Walk on Water tested many different materials to create the device. In the end, they went with carbon fiber because everything else was too heavy. Because carbon fiber is so light, the total weight of the device is only about 6 kg. That’s pretty impressive for something that looks so big.

The handrail on the device can easily be taken off for transportation, so you won’t need to worry about how you’re going to fit it in the back of your vehicle. It’s about 100 cm long, 40 cm wide, and 50 cm tall. The handrail is 100 cm long and has a diameter of 2 cm.

Customize your Walk on Water

The Walk on Water comes in five different colors—red, green, yellow, orange, and blue. Once you pick the color you want, you’ll even be able to decorate the sides. If you’re a business owner who is adding them to your rentals, you’ll be able to put your company logo on the side of them, so everyone on the beach or at the pool sees your name. If you’re giving the buoyant strider as a gift, you can customize it for them too. The options are endless, and you can get as creative as you want.

What we ❤️

We love the ingenuity of this device. This would be a great investment for someone with a beach business to rent out to people. It’s a novel idea, and people will get a kick out of being able to walk on water with these.

What we’d ❤️ to see

We’d love to see a version that was a bit smaller so that kids could use it as well. They would get a lot of enjoyment out of it, but the current version would be a bit large for them to be able to handle.

Start walking on water now

If you’re chomping at the bit to walk on water, you can head over to the Walk on Water Indiegogo and grab your set for $652 at the early bird price. If you’re a business owner looking to add more to your water services, there are packages as well.
