The Woollip Travel Pillow Lets You Actually Sleep on a Plane
Traveling is great, and it’s always such a rush to plan an adventure. You research the bests places to go and things to do, book your hotel and purchase your flight. You can’t stop thinking about the sun and sand or the mountains and snow, and you don’t even care that you’re in a middle seat on a nine-hour flight. Until you are in the middle seat for a grueling nine hours with no comfortable way to sleep or relax. The Woollip Travel Pillow is changing the way we travel – ensuring we’re comfortable the entire way. With economy seats seemingly getting smaller, it’s increasingly difficult to relax on a plane. The Woollip Pillow has an innovative and well thought out design to help you get to sleep and stay asleep.
Inflatable, this frontal pillow gives you the freedom to sleep face down, on your side, or even against the window without straining your neck, back, or shoulders. The Woollip Pillow inflates quickly and easily requiring just five deep breaths to be full. It’s best used in conjunction with the tray table in front of your seat.

The most common is to use the opening on the top to rest your head and face with your arms passing comfortably thought the hold in the center. The center hole can alternatively be used with one arm while the Woollip Pillow rests on the window and armrest. It can also be reversed on the tray table, letting you place your chin on the top to keep your neck and back elongated yet relaxed. Because it was inspired by a massage chair, the pillow maintains your ideal ergonomic comfort in any position.
If you’re like me, fidgeting is necessary throughout the flight because the perfect position seems unattainable. With the Woollip Pillow, it seems I’d spend a lot less time fidgeting and more time sleeping, fully, without waking up to a strained neck or annoyed passengers as I use their shoulder as a pillow (and drool-catcher…).
Keeping travel in mind, the Woollip Pillow also deflates in just two seconds thanks to the wide valve. Once the air is out, it can be neatly folded down to about the same size and weight as your smartphone. Few other travel pillows can say the same – nor are they this versatile and comfortable.
The Woollip Pillow is currently seeking funding through a Kickstarter campaign. With a plan to ship to backers as early as July, the €55k goal has been nearly met with over €50k in donations. You can reserve your own pillow for just €27 and the pillow will retail for about €34.
