You really should expose people to the Flair manual models.   I've gone through three automated machines and they were all great.  When my last Breville failed I looked into the Flair.   It takes longer but since I only brew a single cup each morning it's great for duplicating the preparation of a fine espresso machine.   It's relatively low price and the ease of maintaining a clean machine without descaling makes it worth the extra prep time.  It's also a wonderful work of engineering.
