Flamer could be the most beautiful gas-free lighter ever made

There are many reasons to ditch gas in favor of battery-powered lighters. Flamer is a new gas-free lighter that is adding style to the list of considerations. It’s one of the most beautiful accessories you will ever see.

When the wind is blowing and the rain is tumbling down, lighting up can be a challenge. Gas-powered lighters have always struggled in such conditions because they produce a naked flame. In contrast, gas-free lighters are usually impervious to adverse weather. In addition, they are rechargeable, safer to use, and more eco-friendly. Flamer is a new lighter that offers all the benefits of going gas-free and which adds style into the mix. With a shell made from real wood, this battery-powered lighter is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. It’s perfect for smokers, candle lovers and campsite veterans alike.

What are the benefits of gas-free lighters?

There are many benefits, mostly relating to the way each type of lighter creates fire.

Gas lighters were pretty simplistic; you made a spark using your thumb, and the escaping gas would fuel a small flame. In contrast, gas-free lighters use an electric heating element.

You simply turn on the device and place the glowing hot element against anything you want to light.

Flamer falls into the latter category. You can use it in all weathers to light cigarettes, cigars, candles, campfires, and anything else.

You can get between 20 and 40 lightings on a full charge, and there are no harmful gas fumes to inhale.

The most beautiful lighter

What really makes Flamer stand out, however, is the outer casing. Whereas many lighters are made from metal or garish plastic, this gas-free lighter is wrapped in real wood.

The chosen grain is rosewood, which has a beautiful warm complexion. It is supplied in a largely natural condition, but you can polish your lighter to make it shine if you want. Even with the cap removed, it looks more like a classic treasure than a modern product.

For anyone who chooses to share the Indiegogo campaign, there is a second, secret option. The bamboo Flamer adds a little eastern style to your pocket, with a dark varnished finish.

“Flamer has a rechargeable 400 mAh battery built in that can light up to 20-40 times, so you can enjoy using Flamer without worries.”

“Flamer’s outer shell is made of REAL rosewood and it’s very hard and strong with an attractive wood grain. You may also polish Flamer to get high sheen if desired.” — hehaboomboom on Indiegogo

What we ❤️

We think Flamer would make a great gift for anyone who needs to make fire, and it’s very affordable. Using a gas-free lighter also means that you are preserving the planet.

Future designs

In time, it would be lovely to see a range of natural casings — different varieties of wood, for instance. In addition, we would like to see a little more battery life in future versions, particularly with camping in mind.

Availability

Flamer is crowdfunding on Indiegogo until November 5. You can pledge $25 to reserve your gas-free lighter in the Launch Special, and shipping is due to start in November 2019. It would make a great gift for Christmas, and an upgrade to any smoker’s toolkit.
