Every now and then you need a break from normal, whatever that means to you. A change in routine, the publications you read, and even the products you buy can be an opportunity to try something new. When it comes to products, your typical run-of-the-mill designs are fine. But every now and then it’s interesting to look at something that’s groundbreaking in terms of its concept. The most unique product designs we've seen so far in 2020 do just that and give us a peek at what might trend in the future.

Yves Béhar FORME Life Connected Fitness Mirror in Use

It’s always nice to have a look at something new. When it comes to the latest gadgets, there are always a few that experiment with unique product designs and uses. Often they’re successful, and they influence an entire industry. Other times they’re a stepping stone for something else. Regardless, creatively-designed products certainly bring a smile to your face. Why would you want a typical clock, for instance, when you could have a minimalist, twelve-sided one?

There’s even research to back our enthusiasm for novelty. According to LifeHacker, new, unusual things catch our eye for a good reason; we wouldn’t accomplish much if only the ordinary fascinated us. The brain releases dopamine (the feel-good chemical) when we’re faced with something new. So there’s a strong link between new sights and human motivation.
